CURRY RIVEL.

MARRIAGE OF THE NEW VICAR. - The wedding between the Rev. George W. SAUNDERS, late curate of Street, and vicar-designate of Curry Rivel, and Miss EDWARDS, of Sand Hall, Wedmore, took place very quietly at the Parish Church of Wedmore on the 6th inst. The Rev. W. T. REEDER (vicar) officiated. The choir sang, “Lend us, Heavenly Father, lead us.” as the bride entered the church, and “Oh, perfect love” before the address. During the signing of the register, Mrs. W. BURROUGH played the “Wedding March.” The bride was accompanied by her sister, Mrs. T. HOLT, and her cousin, Miss FORD, and was given away by Mr. T. HOLT?. The Rev. E. C. S. LOCK (vicar of Chilton Polden) acted as “best man.” After the ceremony the bride and bridegroom motored to Highbridge on? their way to Cornwall. There was a large number of handsome presents.

VISIT OF THE YEOVIL SALVATION ARMY BAND. - On Sunday, the Silver Band of the Salvation Army, under the conductorship of Mr BICKNELL, visited Kingsbury. The service commenced at about 4 o'clock in the afternoon when an open air meeting was held at the Square, where a very large congregation was present, being favoured with beautiful weather. The collection having been taken the meeting closed. Afterwards the members of the band were entertained to tea by friends of the Army.
