MARRIAGE
TUPMAN-FOURACRE
The wedding of Ada FOURACRE, second daughter of Mr. Richard FOURACRE, of Lyde Hill Farm, Stower Provost, and William Edward TUPMAN, journalist, late on the staff of the Three Shires Advertiser, Gillingham, Dorset, now residing at Osterley Park, Isleworth, took place in St. Michael's Church, Stower Provost, on Saturday, December 30th. The Rector (Rev. Edward Capel CURE) preformed the ceremony, and the Christmas decorations lent a touch of colour to the beautiful church interior. The service was choral, the organist being Miss Ida INKPEN, of Burton Bradstock.. The bride was given away by her father. She wore a dress of lemon crepe-de chene, with a lace veil and orange blossom, and carried a beautiful bouquet of yellow chrysanthemums. She was attended by the Misses Kate FOURACRE (sister) and Vera HYLES (niece). The former wore a dress of shot taffetas, and the latter a lemon crepe-de-chene dress. Both carried charming bouquets of yellow tuilps and violets. Mr. Stanley TUPMAN (Yeovil, brother of the bridegroom) acted as “best man.” After the ceremony the happy couple left for the Central Hotel, Bournemouth, where the honeymoon is being spent. The bride's travelling dress was of blue crepe-de-chene, and she also wore a kingfisher blue cloak, and a hat to match. The bride and bridegroom were well-known, and they were the recipients of many presents from their friends.
