To the Churchwardens and Others,
the Overfeers of the Poor of the Parifh
of Kingsbury Episcopi
in the said
WHEREAS Complaint has been
made, by you the Churchwardens and Overfeers of the
Poor of the Parifh of Kingsbury aforefaid, unto Us, whofe Hands and Seals are hereunto fet,
two of her Majefty's
Juftices of the Peace, in and for the County of Somerset aforefaid,
(one of us of the Quorum,) that Ann MALE
Singlewoman lately intruded herself into your faid parish of Kingsbury Episcopi
there to Inhabit as a Parishioner
contrary to the Laws relating to the Settlement of the Poor; and is become Chargeable to your faid Parifh of Kingsbury Episcopi. We therefore upon due Examination and Enquiry
made into the Premifes aforefaid,
as well upon the Oath of the said Ann MALE
now taken in writing on Oath before us as otherwise do find and adjudge the
fame to be true: And we do alfo adjudge that the laft Place of the legal Settlement of her the faid Ann MALE was and is the Parifh of Yeovil aforefaid. THESE are
therefore in his Majefty's Name to Order and Require
you the Churchwardens and Overfeers of the Poor of
the Parish of Kingsbury Episcopi aforesaid, or fome,
or one of you, forthwith to Remove and Convey her the faid Ann MALE from your faid parifh of Kingsbury Episcopi to the Parifh of Yeovil
aforesaid, and her deliver to the
Churchwardens and Overfeers of the Poor, or fome or one of them there, together with this our Order, or
a true Copy thereof. And you the
Churchwardens and Overfeers of the Poor of the Parish
of Yeovil aforefaid, are likewife hereby
required in his Majefty's Name, to Receive and Provide
for her the faid
Ann MALE as an Inhabitant of your faid Parifh of Yeovil until from thence she fhall be difcharged
by due Courfe of law.
Given under our Hands and Seals, the twenty second day of May
in the Twenty forth Year of the
Reign of our Sovereign Lord George the
Third, by the Grace of God of Great Britain , France, and Ireland,
King, Defender of the Faith and fo forth, in the Year
of our Lord One Thoufend, Seven hundred and Eighty four.
