I believe I am about nineteen years old and that I was born in the parish of Shepton Beauchamp in the said county but when I first rememeber I was living with my father and mother John and Ann Male in the parish of Barrington in the said county and I continued there until his death which took place about two years ago - My mother died about ten years ago. My father was buried at the expence of the parish of Barrington - After my fathers death I lived for a year at Hambridge in the parish of Curry Rivell and since that time I have lived principally in this parish - I was never bound apprentice nor have I ever done any act to gain a settlement. I broke my thigh last Saturday fortnight and since that time I have received relief from Mr Hagley the? relieving officer of the Chard union.
