The Examination of Samuel EDMONDS now residing in the Parish of Isle Abbotts in the said County of Somerset taken this 26^th day of May 1813

Who upon his Oath saith that he is about 70 years old – That when he was about 23 years old, before he was married, he went into the parish of Church Oakley in the county of Southampton & there agreed to serve one Narnier/Marmer??? LOWMAN a year? at 6 Guineas a years desides??? his board &? accordingly lived with & served him one year in Church Oakley accordingly and saith that some years afterwards he went to the parish of Isle Abbotts and went to live in a house which now descended to him on the death of his father before he went into the parish of Chuch Oakley – and saith that he had before sold the? house to Mr. UTTERMARE but had reserved one end of it for his life and that he went into the pofsefsion of the? end of it and still lives in it and saith that whilst he resided at Church Oakley he let the said end of the house & received the Rents of it.
