The examination of Uriah MALE now residing in the parish of Kingsbury Episcopi in the said county Labourer taken the 30th July 1817

 

Who upon his oath saith that he is now about 20 years old – That he was born as he hath heard and believes in the parish of Kingsbury Episcopi aforesaid – That on the 25th of March 1815 he agreed with John DRAYTON of Barrington yeoman to live with him as a servant until the Lady Day following during which time the said John DRAYTON agreed to give him one shilling and sixpence a week for wages and to provide him meal? and drink and lodging – That he lived with the said John DRAYTON in the parish of Barrington aforesaid under the said agreement from Lady Day 1815 until Lady Day 1816 – That he then agreed to live with the said John DRAYTON another year at the wages of one shilling and nine pence a week and his meal and drink and lodging and also served out that year? with the said John DRAYTON in the said parish of Barrington – That he then left the said parish of Barrington and came to live in the parish of Kingsbury Episcopi aforesaid.
