Welcome! This site contains information about the Ambrose, Custead, Freyermuth and Stewart families of western PA. Some allied names are: Baird, Cassidy, Chambers, Conrad, Countryman, Craig, Cooper, Darlington, Dougherty, Flaugh, Hamilton, Jack, McCarty, Miller, Ralston, Shearer, Stainbrook, Stein, Totten and Walton. Many of these people came from Armstrong, Crawford and Westmoreland counties in Pennsylvania.

• Rural Valley History (in progress).  I will be putting bits and pieces of information I have gathered about Rural Valley and Cowanshannock Township in Armstrong County, PA here.
