Last Will and Testament of
John Daniel


I, John Daniel, do make and publish this, my last will and testament hereby (undoing) and making void all other wills by me at any time made.

First I direct that my funeral expenses and all my debts be paid as soon after my death as possible out of my monies that I may die possessed of or may first come into the hands of my executor.

Secondly, I give and bequeath unto my son, Peter Daniel, and his successors at my death and the death of my wife, Nancy Daniel, two tracts of land on about twenty-five acres by deed from Bryant and granted from the state of Tennessee to said Bryant no. 1498.   The other tract of land about 80 acres by grant from the state of Tennessee no. 1499.   The bounds and lines of said two tracts is described in the above grants.

Thirdly, I give and bequeath at my death and the death of my blind wife, Nancy Daniel, to my son, Peter Daniel, and his successors all of my livestock, to wit, horses, hogs, cattle, sheep, and also my waggon and harnesses and (gearing).   All household and all kitchen furniture and all articles of tools of any kind belonging to me at my death and the death of my wife, Nancy Daniel.

Further and lastly I do hereby nominate and appoint my son, Peter Daniel, my executor to this will.   In testimony whereof I do this my will set my hand and seal this fourth day of February 1850.

Signed, sealed and published in our presence and we have subscribed our names there to in the presence of the testator this 4th day of February, 1850.
