George Richardson to John Wells & others
18 August 1833

Be it Known and Remembered that on this Eighteenth day of August Eighteen hundred and thirty three, I, George Richardson of the Parish of Livingston, have this day, and in consideration of the sum of Five Dollars, to me in hand paid by John Wells and others, granted, bargained, and sold unto John Gordon and others all of the Parish of Livingston (they being here present and accepting this Sale), a certain square acre of Land situated on the North east corner of the tract of land on which I, the said Richardson, now reside, and adjoining to an acre of land held by A. Bartlett, and by these presents do grant, bargain, sell and convey to them, the said John Wells and others, the above described acre of land, to have and to hold, to them, their heirs and assigns forever - and by these presents do warrant & defend to them, the said Wells and others, against the claims of all persons, the above described premises -

Given under my hand this day and date in Presence of Wm. Akers & S. G. Parsons, witnesses, who have signed their names with me, the Granter and the acceptors.

Personally came before me the undersigned Parish Judge, William Akers, one of the subscribing witnesses, and after being duly sworn, declared that he was Present when the bill of sale was made and that he seen [sic] the Parties sign and heard them acknowledge the same to be the voluntary act of them the said parties one granting the others accepting for the uses and Purposes therein specified.

Sworn to and subscribed before me this 18th Day of August 1833.

I do hereby certify that I have recorded the foregoing bill of sale in my office in my Notarial Register Book �A� page 148. In Testimony whereof, I have hereunto set my hand and seal of office this Eighteenth day of August A.D. 1833.
