John Alexander Saville John Alexander Saville son of Andrew and Susannah Saville was born November 30, 1837 in Madras, India. John Alexander Saville was married to Charlotte Fallon on July 11, 1860 (d/o Stephen Gomes, widow, born circa 1834).  According to his marriage certificate to Charlotte Fallon his profession is noted as 'printer'. Later, in his marriage on May 11, 1863 to Susannah Lee (d/o John and Elizabeth Lee, born September 20, 1844), his profession is noted as 'compositor', Government Printing Press, Madras, India. In the marriage certificate it is also stated that John Alexander was a widower, therefore, it is presumed that Charlotte Fallon had died prior to this marriage. Both marriages took place in Madras, India: the first one in  New Town and the second in Vepery.  John Alexander married Mary Devaney (d/o William Kirk, widow, born circa 1845) on April 28, 1880 in Vepery, Madras.  It is unknown what happened to Mary Devaney thereafter. It is also unknown whether there were children from John Alexander’s marriage to Charlotte Fallon.  Likewise from his marriage to Mary Devaney. From John Alexander’s marriage to Susannah Lee there were children as follows:  Alexander Ebenezer Saville on July 13, 1864, Susannah Amelia Saville on September 8, 1865, Alfred Ernest Saville on June 15, 1868, and Elizabeth Saville on June 7, 1871.  All births were recorded at Mount Road, Madras. Susannah Lee died on November 18, 1874 in Madras, India. John Alexander Saville died on May 29, 1880 in Madras, India.  Consequently, their children were orphans. Alfred Ernest Saville, son of John Alexander Saville and Susannah Lee was born in Madras, India on June 15, 1868. He married Mary Teresa Sequeira (d/o Manuel Sequeira and M. Sequeira) on October 22, 1902, in Karachi, Pakistan.  He died circa 1952 in Karachi. John Alexander Saville, Jr. eldest son of Alfred Ernest Saville (commonly known as John Alfred) and Mary Teresa Sequeira was born on September 3, 1903. In 1931, John Alexander, Jr. married Annie Ethel Todd (d/o John George Todd and Philomena Francis). From that marriage he had one son Anthony (Tony) Noel Saville. Annie Ethel died in 1932 when Tony was still a child. Later, John Alexander, Jr., (deceased 1967), married (1935), my mother Jessie Margaret Mary Todd (deceased 1995), sister of Annie Ethel Todd above mentioned. From his second marriage there are 5 sons and 2 daughters. In order of seniority they are: Jeannette, Kenneth, Joy, Edgar, Malcolm, Christopher and Alfred. I believe that there could be children of Charlotte Fallon and Mary Devaney somewhere in the world who do not know about me.
