Welcome! View The Guestbook SCOTT ALMIRA SCOTT was my Great Great Grandmother. Born Jun 1840 Bridgewater in Oneida County, New York the daughter of Horace M. and Betsy SCOTT. She married Isaac Newton JEFFERS 4 May at Baraboo, Sauk County, WI and there is some confusion about the year as they lived at Beloit, Rock County, WI in 1860 together both listed with the JEFFERS surname, listed as not married within the year. However, Myra's obit states May 4, 1869. Recently a nice volunteer found an entry for the marriage at the local Sauk County courthouse listed as 4 May 1860. To their union three children were born, William W. JEFFERS born Oct 1865 in Wisconsin and Newton Isaac JEFFERS. Newton was born 14 July 1867 Cedar Rapids in Linn County, Iowa. He was my Great Grandfather. The third child I am not too sure of, it is likely his name was Frances JEFFERS, born about 1863. Recently in December of 2002 many of the walls have been broken. The main wall I am trying to break is to find out WHO IS BETSY. Almira's mother was Betsy nee unknown, she passed away when Almira was just 4 years old.
