Almira V. SCOTT
She was born 10 June 1840 at Bridgewater, Oneida County, NY. When just a little girl she came west with her farher, Horace M. Scott, a native of New York who was a botanical physician. According to her obituary she married Isaac Newton JEFFERS 4 May 1869, Baraboo, WI however, 1860 census shows them as married and not within the year and courthouse marriage index for Sauk Co., shows marriage date of Isaac JEFFERS & Alvira V. SCOTT 4 May 1860.
You can find the 1860 census image of Isaac & Almira JEFFERS on my census page on this website. Or CLICK HERE Almira and Isaac split up and "Mira/Myra" married Harry H. Starks. Although "Myra and Harry" never had any children, Harry had children of his own when they married. They were married on 25 Dec 1872 at Beloit, WI. She passed away 23 APRIL 1923 at the home of her step-daughter Mrs. Thomas Carson nee Minnie Starks. Minnie also passed away on the same day and a double funeral was held.
