Brauer, Elizabeth "Betty"
(Nee Schloegel) Betty died peacefully on Fri. March 19, 1999 at the age of 85
yrs. She had a paralyzing stroke 6 yrs ago and apparently suffered a
recurrence while visiting her daughter in Denver. She is survived by her
husband Robert (Bob) Brauer, her daughter Mary Alice Brauer, J.D., two sons
William R. (Sylvia) Brauer, M.D. and John R. (Sue) Brauer, Ph.D., E.E. and 3
grandchildren, Laura, Andrea and John.
Betty graduated Magna Cum Laude in 1934 from Marquette University and was
awarded the President's Key for the highest 4 yr average in her college
class. She taught at Fernwood School for 5 yrs and later, while raising her
family, was active in P.T.A., Girl Scouts, Cub Scouts, Band and Orchestra
Mothers and in The League of Women Voters.
Funeral Services will be held at Christ King Catholic Church 2604 Swan Blvd,
Wauwatosa at 10 AM Thurs. March 25. Visitation will be at the church
starting at 9 AM. Burial will be at Wisconsin Memorial Park following the
Services.
In lieu of flowers, donations are suggested to the American Heart
Association, designated for Stroke Cure through Stem Cell Research.
The family would like to acknowledge valuable assistance from the Interfaith
Council and from many friends and neighbors for helping to keep Betty happy
during the 6 yrs. of her paralysis.

76 Yrs. a native of Arapahoe, NC died March 21, 1999 after suffering
complications of pneumonia.
He served as a Lieutenant in the US Navy during World War II in Guam.
He received his Masters degree in Engineering from NCSU, and was employed in
the midwest during his working years at Nordberg Mfg. of Milwaukee, Brown
Boveri of St. Cloud, MN and GM of LaGrange, IL.
He retired and returned to his hometown of Arapahoe in 1987, where he has
been active in local activities. He has served as Mayor of Arapahoe for the
past 10 years, past president of Rotary of Oriental, member of Pamlico Shrine
Club, advisory board of the Charter School, Retirement Club of Arapahoe, and
an active member of Bethany Christian Church of Arapahoe.
He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Madge Cross Brinson; one son, Edward
and his wife, Sue Brinson of Madison, WI; one daughter, Linda and her
husband, Barry Fox of Cheshire, CT; and three granddaughters, Meghan, Molly
and Lana Fox of Cheshire, CT; one sister, Kathleen and her husband "Shadow"
Nelson of Chapala, Mexico; one brother, Bill and his wife, Marian Brinson of
Chapel Hill; one special uncle, Jack Brinson of Arapahoe and one aunt, Edith
Brinson of Twin Rivers Nursing Home of New Bern, NC and many nieces and
nephews.
Funeral services will be 10:30 AM Wednesday at Bethany Christian Church.
Burial will be at 3:30 PM Wed. at Chapel Hill Memorial Cemetery. The family
will receive friends at Bryant Funeral Home, Alliance, NC 7:00 to 8:00 PM
Tuesday night.

Mooney on May 12, 1912. Beloved mother of Jane (Frank) Wingert and Norman (the
late Patricia) Lieblein, of Wauwatosa. Survived by 11 grandchildren, 18
great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild. Also survived by 1 brother,
Robert (Cleone) Mooney. Catherine was a member of the Door County Memorial
Society, whose preparations were done through the Hartson Funeral Home, Hales

College and was a devoted homemaker. She did become active in Daywood
Associates, a retirement business her husband started, making unique wooden
characters and other wooden gift items identified "Woody". She will be sadly
missed by her husband, her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren as
well as by many friends and associates. Memorial services will be held on
Fri. March 26 at 4 PM at the Immanuel Presbyterian Church, 1100 N. Astor.

Krasno, Dr. Maxwell Robert
Age 90. Passed away March 17, 1999 at the Manor Care Nursing Facility. He is
survived by his son, James Krasno of Littleton, CO; his daughter, Katherine
Pehrson; grandchildren David Michael Pehrson and Elizabeth Anne Pehrson; and
a great-granddaughter, Nicole Alyssa Pehrson, all of San Jose. He was married
to Beatrice Krasno from 1934 until her death in 1998. He earned a Ph.D. in
Physics from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 1936 and spent his career
in infrared research and development. After retiring he remained active in
the Cairn Terrier Club and the Methodist Church.
His memorial service will be 2:00 PM on Monday, March 22 at Almaden Hills
United Methodist Church, 1200 Blossom Hill Rd., San Jose. Donations to the
Memorial Fund of Almaden Hills United Methodist Church are requested instead
of flowers. Funeral arrangements for his burial were made through Darling
Fisher of Los Gatos. Inurnment will be at Prairie Home Cemetery, Waukesha, WI.

moved to Florida where Art joined the Clearwater Three Score Ball Club. Art
and Libby were square dancers and round dancers for over 30 years and enjoyed
traveling all over the world with other square dance groups. Dear father of

Age 80, of Warrens, died Friday, March 19, 1999 at the Tomah Health Care
Center. She was born Oct. 6, 1918 in Moscow, Russia. In 1949 she came to the
United States. She worked as a registered nurse at St. Joseph's Hospital in
Milwaukee for many years. She united in marriage to Osvalds Skraucevs who
passed away March 8, 1988. She is survived by two sons, Peteris (Denise)
Skraucevs, West Allis, and Janis (Catherine) Skraucevs, Ohio; three
daughters, Dace (Ivars) Roberts, Mukwonago, Baiba (David) Grusszecki,
Franklin, Ieva Graf, Warrens; and one sister, Tamara Aufmanis, Australia. She
was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and one brother. Memorial
