When trying to identify the Bert C. BOYLAN who married Grace ROBB in 1907, Multnomah Co OR and his parents, it soon became clear this was not going to be easy. Only one Bert could be easily located in the 1900 census (not in Oregon) and there were three reported Bert C. BOYLANs in Oregon fron 1910-1930. When Bert and Grace could not be identified in the census together, it was decided to take an indirect approach. If several could be eliminated, the remaining Bert was likely the husband of Grace. I think I have been able to do so. Since there seemed to be some confusion in the posted material, I am posting my observations in the hopes it will be of some help to others interested in the Boylan lines.

Leona Boylan is listed as a widow in 1910 but a Charles Boylan is listed as marrying a Leona Hill later that year and an Anna Owen in 1912. It seems likely that the listing as a widow is incorrect.
