All web pages in the web ring are required to display this web ring logo
on the subscribe/unsubscribe page to make it easy for surfers to move from site to site. The setup information given at Web Rings, however, can be a little confusing at first.
After applying to the web ring, you will come to a page telling you that you have completed the application process. Since all mail list pages hosted by Rootsweb.com will be approved, you can continue by adding the ring logo. At the upper left of that page you should see a link titled "My Rings"
Click that link and you will come to a page which has all of the web rings that you have applied to and /or been approved for.
Toward the middle of this page will be a link titled "Go HERE if you want to see/manage/edit the Sites that you have in other Rings, or if you want to get navigation code for your web site" Click on that phrase and then select the appropriate site title from the next page.
There are two types of navigation code: SSR and HTML. SSR is not necessary for this web ring, and not all servers support it so HTML code is preferred. On the left hand side is a link that says "Get navigation code" Click it and you will be taken to the page with the SSR code but do not use the SSR code.
At the very bottom of the SSR code page is a link which says "Members who wish to use the HTML version of this nav bar should go." Follow that link and you will find the ring logo code that has been customized for your web page. You can then cut and paste the code into your web page through an "insert html" or similar function in your editor. The HTML code should look similar but not identical to the code below which is provided only as an example.
