Information on the Families Associated
with the Shalvoys and Scollins |
| Our site contains sections on the families of the
spouses of the children of Owen and Margaret Scollin Shalvoy who form the four
main branches of the Shalvoy family tree. Specifically, we have sections
on the families of:
|
Our research into the Shalvoys in 19th Century
County Meath Ireland uncovered two Shalvoy families. The first is
the family of James Henry Shalvoy, whose son Owen Shalvoy is the head of the
extended Shalvoy family in present day USA. The second is the family of
Hugh Shalvoy. The
link provides the information we have on the first two generations of that
family. We are uncertain as to how the family of Hugh Shalvoy is related
to that of James Henry Shalvoy.
Our site also contains information on the major
portions of the four branches of the family tree, formed when males married
granddaughters of Owen and Margaret Scollin Shalvoy.
- the family of

William Joseph and Charles Aloysius Murphy, who married (respectively) Margaret
Mary and Anna Florence Shalvoy, two daughters of James Henry Shalvoy
- the family of
Patrick and Mary Durkin, the
parents
of Denis E. Durkin, who married Agnes Irene Shalvoy, another daughter of James
Henry Shalvoy.
- the family of
Patrick and Mary Nash, the parents
of Thomas Ambrose Nash, who married Mabel Fidelis Shalvoy.
