Left in her father's will: 'or her representatives, the sum of one hundred and twenty pounds and all her mother's and her sisters [?ie Aunt's] cloths [?clothes], and all my table linen and six silver spoons marked with her own name'. She was almost certainly under age when her father died. It sounds as if her mother died before her father. John: Married by licence

Probably the same person as #1798, who is a Cordwainer, like William, this John's father. Aged 29 at marriage Elizabeth: She was aged 29 when she married. Mary: ? or 'Paling'. Called Polen in NTT PR Transcript Aged 20 at marriage, which was by licence and with consent of parents.

3. William BRAMLEY b. circa 1820, , Stoke, NTT, Blacksmith. Living at East Stoke in 1851 census, with his mother and sister. It is probably this William who is listed as Blacksmith at Stoke in a 1864 directory.

I may have got her mixed up with the dau of Wm Bramley and Mary Crosby Both were aged 21 years at marriage, which was by licence She is definitely with the wrong parents! Can someone confirm this, please. John: Married by licence

E. William BRAMLEY (son of John BRAMLEY and Mary PALEN) b. circa 1770, NOT in NTT, Blacksmith. 1841 census for Syerston: William, Blacksmith, Not born in County; James, 30, born in county; Catherine Bramley, 45, born in county; Eliza, 15, born in county; Thomas Marshall, 10, not born in county; Joseph Oliver, 7, not born in county. Perhaps look at 1881 census index. Also LDS computer. I have assumed that this is the correct William who was son of John and Mary. Note that an Ann Oliver married a Richard Bramley at Farnden, NTT in 1579. Probably with the wrong parents

VI. Thomas BRAMLEY b. 1753, d. 1774. Left in his father's will: 'All that house or messuage , with all the arable land thereunto belonging, and usually held or now or late in the tenure of William Wait, and also the other... half part of the meadow ground which I bought of Henry Woolhouse Disney, lying in Southing and the moor aforesaid. And also two leys of teathering grass in Lynham containing by intimation one acre be the same more or less, which said teathering grass I bought of Capt. Girton'.

VII. Richard BRAMLEY b. 1755, , Elston, NTT, Miller, m. (1) 08 MAY 1794, in , Basford, LIN, Ann ELLIOTT, m. (2) Mary ?, b. 1715, d. 1770. Left in his father's will: 'My other house, dovecoat and garden thereunto belonging, which said house I built on part of my Close, which Waits House stands on, and is now or late in the tenure or occupation of Robert Allen. And also three leys of teathering grass in Lynham, which I bought of Henry Woolhouse Disney, and now in my own occupation. And also one acre and a half of arable land, lying in Elston South Field, on a furlong called Langland Dale It is probable that he was born in NTT and moved to LIN some time before he married. Did he perhaps have Elizabeth Bramley to live in his household when her mother died.

Ann: I have assumed that this is the correct marriage. Where is Basford?
