Stop-Press! Does anyone recognise this photograph? It was found among the effects of a Fargus family member in Hull. It may possibly be of a Deheer family. Please contact me if you can identify it.

Unknown Farguses or Deheers?

Please contact me if you have any Fargus family associations that can be added to the site. If you are not happy with any of the information included on these pages, please let me know, giving the exact URL/address of the page.

I am a member of the Guild of One-Name Studies and am interested in all Farguses, world-wide, particularly any family trees which I can put on this site. Your input will be acknowledged on the page but, of course, they may be copied to other sites, without my knowledge.

There appear to be two separate families of Fargus . One is rooted in East Yorkshire, and appears to have derived from Scotland, and the other was in the Bristol area, coming previously from Ireland. Because I am descended from the East Yorkshire family most of my early research was on this but in 2004 I was contacted by David Fargus and in 2005 by Julian and Stewart Lyons. I am very grateful to them, and other descendants of the Bristol line, for their submissions.

I have added a new page at Halls of Fame. Please let me have YOUR nominations. for examination successes etc etc.
