[Could B be Bury?]. He married Hannah COXON, m. 14 May 1823, in St Johns, Deansgate, Manchester,,4 b. ABOUT 1802, , Rolleston, STS, d. SEP 1859, , Melton Mowbray, LEI, buried: , Higher Broughton, CHS. Hannah: 1851 Census for Great Clowes St, Broughton: Hannah TRENBATH, widow, 49, Fundholder, b Rolleston, STS; Elizabeth TRENBATH, dau, 24, at home, b Oldham Louisa TRENBATH, 21, at home, b Manchester Frederick TRENBATH, 17 Warehouseman, b Manchester; George TRENBATH, 16, warehouseman, b Manchester; Mary Latham, 23, House servant, b Manchester; St Catherine's House 1/1859 gives the death of a Hannah TRENBATH at Melton Mowbray, Lei., so she probably went to live with her daughter, Elizabeth, after she married George Jonas Crossley at M Mowbray in 1859. I cannot find any Crossleys (or Trenbaths) in the 1861 census for Melton Mowbray... Ron MacIntyre says that an ancestor went to Eton. I can't find any Trenbaths in the Eton School lists, but the 1791 - 1850 list names Joseph COXON pp13B and 20B. He was a K.S. in the Upper School, fifth form at the 1793 election. He was 'in a public office', i.e. presumably later in life he was a government employee of some sort. 'His hand was amputated at Eton owing to the bursting of a gun.' K.S. means 'a Colleger' (presumably 'King's Scholar') Top of Page
