Sylvester W. Osburn Family
Sylvester W. Osburn, the son of William and Sally, was born Abt. 1819 in Tennessee. He married (1) Sally Abt. 1842 in Tennessee. She was born Abt. 1820 in Tennessee. He married (2) Elizabeth Reimer 15 June 1853 in Massac County, Illinois. She was born Abt. 1832 in Tennessee.

I have not been able to locate this family, after the 1860 census except for Brison H. who married his cousin Mary H., the daughter of Daniel S. Osburn in Union County in March or 1872. If anyone knows where this family wandered off to, please contact me.
Brison H. Osburn, the son of Sylvester and Sally Osburn, was born August 1841 in Tennessee, and died Bet. 1900 - 1910 in White County, Arkansas. He married Mary H. Osburn 31 March 1872 in Union County, Illinois, daughter of Daniel Osburn and Mary Shepherd. She was born 20 September 1851 in Union County, Illinois, and died Bet. 1920 - 1930 in White County, Arkansas.
Their children are
- John W. Osburn, born 04 January 1874; died 04 January 1954
- Bessie Osburn, born 11 February 1885; died 26 March 1961
- Bertha J. Osburn, born 31 December 1890; died 15 April 1966;
married Doc Leach
- 5 unnamed children who did not live
Brison and family has been found on these census. In 1900 they apprently in the process of moving when the census taker came around, so they were enumerated twice with slight differences in the birth date information given.
