General notes: Silversmith and watchmaker Events in his life were: • Apprenticed about 1825 to James Carey in Brunswick ME 3
• He worked from circa 1835 to 1861 as a silversmith and watchmaker in Boston MA as A. L. DENNISON & Co. • He was a partner from 1845 to 1849 with George E. Adams and John Carey Farnsworth in Boston MA as DENNISON, ADAMS & Co, listed in the 1845 city directory at 67 Washington Street. • He was a partner from 1849 to 1857 with Edward Howard and David Davis in Waltham MA manufacturing interchangeable watch movement parts. The company eventually became the Waltham Watch Company. • He worked from circa 1865 to 1885 as a watchmaker in Birmingham Warwickshire England where he established a thriving business producing gold and silver watch cases for the trade. |
