  • He was a partner from 1833 to 1837 with Stephen Gurnee in New York City NY as B & S GURNEE. Also listed as GURNEE BROS. 18
  • He worked from 1837 to 1860 as a silversmith in New York City NY as BENJAMIN GURNEE & Co. Listed in New York As It Is In 1837 as silver spoon and fork manufacturer at 21 Thomas Street, where he was joined by his brother Daniel in 1842. In the 1852 city directory, they are listed together at 17 John Street. 18
