General notes: Silversmith (tentative identification) Events in his life were: • He worked from circa 1790 to 1804 as a silversmith in New York City NY with a shop at 35 Crown Street until 1792, then at 7 Fly Market. 6 • Advertised in the The American Mercury (New York City NY), 5 Oct 1795, seeking "Three Journeymen that can work at different branches of the gold- and silversmith's trade." 6 • He worked from 1805 to 1821 as a silversmith in Baltimore MD 25 William married Elizabeth Webb in 1812 in Baltimore MD. (Elizabeth Webb was born in 1783.) |
