• He worked c 1790 as a silversmith and watchmaker in Hartford CT ³

• He worked c 1804 as a silversmith and watchmaker in New Haven CT ³

• Advertised in the Connecticut Journal (New Haven CT), Mar 1809, stating he had commenced business as watchmaker and silversmith at sign of the Gold Watch, at store lately occupied by John H. Hall, Church Street. Advertised extensively 1809-22. Removed opposite his old stand in Church Street, 1814. Continued to advertise watches and watch repairing, large assortment of gold seals, keys and chains, earrings, finger rings, silver table and teaspoons of his own manufacture and. . . "thousands of articles too numerous for an advertisement." In Sept. 1820, announced " . . . entire stock of Mr. C. Hequembourg, Church Street, is being offered for sale, to close the concern. . . at 25% below market price." In December of the same year, he extended thanks and guaranteed business would be continued as in past 14 years. A year later he announced the removal of his shop to the Glebe Building, south corner of the Green, on Church Street. ³
