- He worked from circa 1775 to 1803 as a goldsmith and clockmaker in Windsor CT built a shop on the end of the family lot. "Called a goldsmith . . . made brass clocks, some of which are still excellent timekeepers, silver teaspoons, knee-buckles, shoe-buckles, etc." 3
- 1777: enlisted as a private for service at Peekskill in Capt. Edward Griswold's company of Connecticut militia, ending war as a major. 3
- He was a partner from circa 1803 to 1805 with Geer Terry in Hartford CT 3
- Advertised in the Hartford American Mercury (Hartford CT), 3 Mar 1803, the partnership with Geer Terry: "Makers of all kinds of gold and silversmith work."
