  • Died: abt 1776

  General notes:

Silversmith

  Events in his life were:

  • He worked from about 1765 to 1776 as a silversmith in Wallingford CT making spoons, shoe buckles and knee buckles. 3
  • Made freeman of Wallingford CT, Apr 1770. 3
  • Mar 1773: suit brought against him for £9/7/7, by one O. Doolittle, which debt he acknowledged. A Loyalist, he served with the British, and was reported to have been killed in the Revolutionary War in 1776. However, death must have occurred later as two other suits were brought against him, probably in his absence (Jan. 28, 1777 and Apr. 23, 1779) for £1 and £2, respectively. Judgement in both cases went against him by default. 3
