FENTON, Mary Ann Burial Plot Available Versions of the Photo: Type: eJPG, Size: 695 (KBytes) Type: eJPG, Size: 110 (KBytes) Photo Information: Date: 2005, October Place: USA, Utah, Salt Lake, Salt Lake City Cemetery Editor's Comments: As of October 2005, there was no headstone that I could find. The burial plot indicated by the Salt Lake City cemetery sexton's office is right in the middle of the hill in this photo. In and around the hill there are very few headstones, so I would guess that many of the headstones in this area were destroyed. The burial plot that FENTON, Mary Ann was buried in was owned by a man named James Muir. I do not know if he had any relation to the Fenton family. My guess is that he did not, he just happened to have a spare burial plot. Of the twenty people buried in that plot, there does not seem to be a dominant family. It seems to be many unrelated people. Also, it is interesting to note that FENTON, Mary Ann was the last person buried in that plot. The list of people buried there is: NG Ramsden No D SO 1/2 Mary Ann Fenton 12-31-1875 Isabella Shanks 01-27-1861 Mary Muir 06-26-1871 Stevenson - no date given Robert Y Smith 03-20-1972 John Lusely 10-11-1862 Mary Smith 10-01-1871 Elizabeth Turpin 10-10-1862 Elizabeth Smith 07-17-1870 Arat Wilson Campbell 10-10-1862 James Reed 12-30-1868 James Whitlock 10-16-1862 Lars Knudsen 11-17-1862 Indian girl of Welly Little - no date given Elizabrth Nickle 11-05-1862 Nancy Ann Ramsden 11-02-1862 Emma Crane Nichols 11-02-1862 Frederick Nichols 11-02-1862 James Muir 11-26-1872 See Also: [Photo]: Map of the Salt Lake City Cemetery Associated Persons and Marriages: FENTON, Mary Ann (Id# 6308) Headstone, LOW FENTON, Mary Ann (Id# 6308) CemeteryPlot, HIGH |
