Elizabeth Sloyer wife of John Sloyer b 1/1/1800 d 1/30/1878 ( could this be Elizabeth Ruth? If so why is she buried here and John buried in Old Williams?) Joyce Godfrey's answer: My answer is it is probably Elizabeth RUTH SLOYER - from the Buck's Co. History(The History Of Bucks County, Pennsylvania, by W. W. H. Davis 1876) this would be the church that was established on RUTH property. It appears it was a fairly common occurence for husbands and wives to be buried in separate cemeteries when many years separated their deaths. Family disputes, whom she was living with in her old age( from above seems to have been son David who is also buried in Durham), or change of churches - might all be possibilities.
