Robert bought a house in Providence, R.I. in 1654 between John Smith the Miller and Edward Inman. He
was living on Long Island by the end of 1670.

Robert moved with his father while he was young to the Glocester, R.I. area. His wife Martha was the
daughter of Samuel Winsor, whose mother was Mercy Williams, a daughter of Roger Williams, the founder
