Stephen Ratledge took this photo on June 18, 2003 during our vacation trip to locate places where some of my ancestors migrated. The Hampton surname on the tombstone was carved across the top. To see the surname, one had to look down upon the wide stone. Inscribed near the base is "Dear parents we miss you but know you rest with God."
