The old building in the foreground was used as a clock repair shop by Isaac Large, Jr. He was born Dec. 17, 1842 to Isaac and Catherine (Williams) Large, Sr. Isaac, Jr. died Apr. 18, 1898 in McMinn CO, TN and was buried in the Large Family Cemetery very near this old building in the Idewild Community, McMinn CO, TN. Located on Rogers Creek Valley Road, County Road # 105, this cemetery is known by some as the Womac Cemetery. Others call it the Large Family Cemetery. Previously part of Arthur and Clyde Wade's farm, the old barn stood just behind this shop. A fence post is visible behind honeysuckle, weeds, and shrubs along the roadside, the vantage point of this photo. Unfortunately, the old building no longer exists having been torn down several years ago. The cemetery is all that now remains. Many years ago, Maudie "Doolie" (Stanton) Vaughn provided this information about her ancestor's shop and its location. She helped a great deal with research on the Large family of McMinn County.

Many thanks to my friend, cousin, and colleague Mildred Maupin who took this photo in 1995 on one of our trips!
