Dear father
it is with pleasure that I seat my self to drop you a few lines to let you know
that I am well an the rest of the family is well at this time -hoping that
these few lines may find you all enjoying ___ the blessing. I___ ___ the
company but have not gone yet nor dont intend to go if I can help it but if I
see that I have to go I will come to John and Tom if I can get to them. I
receive a letter from John and Tom yesterday an learn from the letter that they
was gone. I was very sorry to hear that they was gone but that if one thing
that men can't help. If I could I never would. If I have to go I will come by
you to see you all. I want some of you all to come to see us if you can for I
want to see you all very bad. wheat crop is verry sorry here. It taken the rust
and all fell down so that it can't be eat. I have about too or three bushel I
reckon. ______ ses that she is sorry for Elizabeth. Ses she must come to see
her if she can. ___ ses that she wishes that she could come an stay all night
with mother an eat breakfast with her. I wish that you all was her close to us
so that we could go to see each other. ____ is ____, as long as Emey ses that
she wants to see malinda very bad. malinda is ____ hutchison is mared to ___
___ ___. they have bin mared one week last night. Babe I want you work fast an
get done spinning an come out her an help me spin. I want you all to rite to us
as soon as you get this. So farewell for this time.
