1800 census of Peter with 4 males and 4 females in the house near a possible brother Jesse, near Lide and Fountain.  In the past there was a Mary Bozeman Fountain;  so the families remain close.  Note the many names here who appear in the Alabama census! ~if Sarah Bozeman had a girl in 1787, she could be married - we do not know how many children were actually born to this family.

In 1796 Peter Bozeman acquired the estate of a Zebulan Chance. Reads like it is for a debt owed. It was for 200 acres.
research done by Jimmy Ray Bozeman in 2005.
In 1809 a Jesse Bozeman buys 200 acres of land from Jonathan Wright. Now if the tombstone in Montgomery belongs to Peters son Jesse than this cannot be him because he (Peters son) was born in 1793 and would have only been 17 at the time.
In 1812 Peter sells some land to Thomas Mason. did a daughter marry a Mason?
In 1816 Peter buys land from Mary Rowell (maybe Powell).
In 1818 Peter sells land to James Erwin.
In 1820 Peter sells land to Williams Side (Lide). did a daughter marry Lide?

The plot thickens in 1820 http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.com/~southernbranches/B/BOZEMAN/1820.SC.Medy.Boseman.by.Mason.Fountain.Wilds..gif
In 1822 Peter sells 200 acres to a Jesse Bozeman. http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.com/~southernbranches/B/1822-Jesse-Land-Deed.gif
Henry witnessed it http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.com/~southernbranches/B/1822-GeoBruce-WmHenry-witness.jpg and Vincent Joiner, witnessed it as his son in law http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.com/~southernbranches/B/1822-V.Joiner-Oath.gif

1823 Peter's brother John moves to Mississippi Territory http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.com/~southernbranches/B/BOZEMAN/1823-John-InMississippi-DEED...UNCLE.gif
In 1824 Peter wills land to Medys children Peter, Jesse and Julian a granddaughter. Ellenor Joiner raised Meedys' orphaned boys in Alabama, following her father and family.

In 1826 It had a survey map of 231 acres belonging to Peter.
Now on the Index reel under the name Bozeman it shows an 1826 Land Division Plat record and the names associated with it are James, Peter, John and Jesse.
James remained in Darlington as the rest of the Bozemans and their kin moved to Alabama, where Jesse purchased his own tract of land in 1827 http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.com/~southernbranches/B/BOZEMAN/1827-Jesse-Bozeman.gif
We also know that they were all still in SC in 1826, because KC found a land survey online in the SC archives.
Could not find any records of deeds for selling off all their land.  From what I can tell Peter died in 1828
April 1829 Sarah's mark as Peter's widow; this item found by Wayne Bozeman in 1994 shows our Henry's signature as well.  http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.com/~southernbranches/B/BOZEMAN/1829.april.jpg
Peter's estate sale was in 1829 though and his land divided in 1838 obviously as his widow had passed away and we find many from Darlington at his estate sale, so it is possible that Peter had sisters or daughters intermarried with these families. http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.com/~southernbranches/B/1838-BozemanHeirs.jpg
Peter wrote letters from Montgomery in 1828 to the War Department about being an Invalid and asking about his pension all recorded in the Montgomery Probate office.
Need to see if there are any documents found on this family between 1829 and 1838 in Montgomery, Alabama.

1847 death of Henry.  His daughter married a Campbell. http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.com/~southernbranches/B/BOZEMAN/1847-Letter-toCourt-OrphansNamed.gif

Many other descendants of Peter's children have been researching for many years and have joined the DAR and SAR thanks to Allison, daughter of Jimmy Ray, who both worked long before us to prove the facts.
