Mrs. Halle Dies After Long Illness

 

   Mrs. Rose Bauman Halle, of 2095 Poplar, who had been ill for the past seven years and who had been a patient at Baptist Hospital since December 6, died Thursday morning at the Hospital.   Services were held at Temple Israel in Brownsville, Tenn., with Dr. James A. Wax of Memphis officiating.  Interment was in Brownsville.

   Mrs. Halle, widow of Louis Halle, was born in Brownsville, Tenn., 71 years ago and had lived here and in Brownsville for the past 40 years.  She had served as housemother for Alpha Epsilon Phi Sorority at the University of Illinois, the same sorority at the University of Texas, Zeta Beta Tau Fraternity at Louisiana State University and Sigma Alpha Mu Fraternity at the University of Alabama.

   Surviving are her two brothers, Sam Bauman and Saul Bauman, of Memphis; her three sisters, Mrs. Dan Richberger and Mrs. Sol Shatz, of Memphis, and Mrs. Celia Bieber, of Washington, D. C.
