He was a lifelong resident of Waukegan. He served his country with the United States Air Force. He was a concrete worker for many years.
Gary is the beloved son of Bertha Swanson and the late Elmer Swanson; a brother, Richard Swanson; two sisters, Sandra Deaton and Linda Sczesny; Gary cherished his many nieces and nephews, great-nieces and nephews, cousins, and numerous friends. He will be forever missed.
A memorial service will be held at a later date. Cards of Acknowledgements may be sent to Bertha Swanson, 720 S. 92nd St., #207, West Allis, WI 53214. Gary and Sargent will reunite in Rainbow Park. Arrangements by Bradshaw & Range Funeral Home, 2513 Dugdale Road, Waukegan, IL, 847-662-3553.
