Stuck in a nasty frame? Break free here
(updated 01 July 2002)
When I first decided to publish my family tree, I didn't have
the first clue how to go about it. So, I downloaded AOLPress and came up
with a very "canned" site that showed nothing of the creativity or individuality
I was looking for. I spent hours visiting other genealogy sites to get a
feel for what others had done and was lucky enough to find several sites
offering HTML tips and tricks. I still use AOLPress but have come to rely
on a lot of the links you'll find in HTML help.
A year after my site was on the Web, I decided to "redecorate" but again
was at a loss. I wanted something more personal, something that reflected
me and my family. This time, I visited hundreds of graphics sites, always
in awe of the beautiful art. Although I do my best to use my own graphics,
the sites listed here are my favorites. They're fresh, ingenious and downright
artistic.
