In addition to all our families, I dedicate this page in loving
memory of my father:
John
H. Stary (SP4, US Army, West Germany, 1964-1966). He loved this country
and what she stands for more than life itself. The events of September 11,
2001 would have broken his heart. I miss you, Daddy!

For as long as I can remember, my family has been a "military
family". From my maternal grandfather (US Navy) to my great-uncles (US Army
and US Army Air Corp), from my dad (US Army) and his brothers (US Navy and
US Coast Guard) to my brothers (US Navy), my family has proudly served their
country. My father believed in this country and that belief was instilled
in me. Although Dad didn't win any awards during his brief military "career",
he was a patriot. "Old Glory" flies 24-hours a day at our house--a constant
symbol of freedom, pride, courage, hardship, triumph and tragedy.
During my genealogical research, and in light of the current status of the
world, it suddenly dawned on me that no matter what ethnic background you
call "yours", since the beginning of time, men, women and children have fought
for freedom while ALL peoples have fallen victim to hate, prejudice and
ignorance. This page of links is dedicated to the memory of our ancestors
who suffered adversity, indignation and hate and whose bravery helped make
this country free.
Your sacrifices will never be
forgotten.
