SALEM (STRAYER'S) UNITED CHURCH OF CHRIST CEMETERY

Strayer's Cemetery, which was originally laid out on January 5, 1765, is located just west of Dover, in Dover Township, York County, Pennsylvania. The cemetery has several sections, and it can be difficult to know the name of each. The section referred to as Strayer's is located directly beside the church, the earliest stones dated in the 1770s. Across from the church, beside their parking lot, are also two other sections, Gerber (previously Lenhart) and Leibernecht. Gerber, with the first internment being on September 6, 1870, is beside the larger church parking lot. Leibernecht, established in May 1892, is located beside the Gerber section.
