VIII. WILLIAM CHARLES STILLSON, born April 11, 1886, at Elgin, Erie Co., Pa, son of Amos Clinton and Stella May Truesdell Stillson, married February 16, 1910, Fern Dorlesca Reynolds, b. July 18, 1888, at Elgin, Pa., daughter of William Henry and Pearl Elvira (Price) Reynolds. In 1939 they resided at 1383 Lynn Park Drive, Cleveland Heights, Ohio. Fern Dorlesca Stillson d. in 1956, William Charles Stillson died in 1964.

Dr. Stillson was a dentist, graduated from Western Reserve University School of Dentistry , fellow of the American College of Dentistry, New Orleans, La, professor of Dental Anatomy, Western Reserve University, School of Dentistry, "since 1933". He was president of the Cleveland Dental Society, 1918- 1919. He has authored books on dental anatomy, poetry and "Notes on Stilson Genealogy, " the first work on the Stilson-Stillson family. This genealogy tells of the early branches of the Stilson' sand carries Dr . Stillson's own line to the ninth and tenth generations. He also published other books including one of poems, a Quiz Compendium of Dental Anatomy and "The Story that Ann Otter Told " which is averse biography of a woman who made her home with the Stillson family for half a century and whose grave is in Elgin Cemetery with those of Amos Clinton and Stella May Stillson. 1. Estelle Fern, b. June 9, 1911, married March 21, 1936 to Phillip Lloyd Waterrnan, b. October 9, 1907, in Chicago Ill., son of Albert Lloyd Waterrnan and Zoe Arian (Phillips) Waterrnan. Estelle died September 13, 1971. Phillip Lloyd was b. October 9, 1907 in Chicago, IL and died December 18, 1981.

Marcia Zoe Waterrnan b. December 8, 1936 in Cleveland, Ohio m. Jon Dill.

Linda Fern Waterrnan was b. February 28, 1944 in Cleveland Heights, Ohio. Married September 2, 1967 to Ron Blatnick. They had children Churchill Paul Blatnick b. November 9, 1968 in New York, N. Y .and Alexander DonovanBlatnickb. July 27, 1970 in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. Ronald received a Masters Degree in Math Education from the University of Florida and is currently a teacher. He is the son of Victor Arthur and Maria Acursia (Scaltro) Blatnick. Linda received a bachelors degree in English from Central College in Pella, Iowa. Since 1973 she has been employed in Medical Management.

2. William Truesdell, b. August 31, 1916. Educated public schools of Cleveland Heights and South Euclid, Ohio, received degree of B.B.S. at Miami University in 1939. See Generation IX.

VIII. FRED AREA STILSON was the son of William Edward Stilson and Virginia Hartless. He was b. November 19, 1878 in Philomath, Benton Co., Oregon, and married June 13, 1897 in Littlerock, Thurston Co., WA., to Nora Belle Whipple, daughter of Charles Henry Whipple and ElizaAdelia Bradley. She was born September 6, 1879 in Edgerton, (Maple Hill), Kent, MI. She d. April 25, 1959 in Centralia, Washington. Fred Arba died December 5, 1937 in Centralia, Washington. Both are buried in Sticklin Cemetery in Centralia. Fred was a Shingleweaver, a Union Organizer and a member of the Oregon National Guard. The July-August 1993 issue ofEverton's Genealogical Helper carried a photo of the Charles whipple family in 1898 taken in the Deep Lake area, across the road from the Millersylvania State Park, Thurston Co., WA. It includes Fred Arba Stilson, Nora Belle Whipple Stilson and their baby Elery Clement Stilson as well as Virginia Hartless Stilson, Fred's mother. Fred Arba is pictured on the cover of this family history .

1. Elery Clement "Clem" Stilson, b. August 5, 1898, Littlerock, WA, m. June 8, 1918 in Toledo, WA to (1) Lydia Mathews. (2) Opal Blakely. Elery was a shingleweaver, he d. October 14, 1950 in Tacoma WA. Burial at Mt. View Memorial Park Cemetery, Tacoma. Lydia Mathews was b. in about 1900 in Lay ton Prairie, WA, d. in 1936 in Toledo, Washington. Her parents were Alfred Mathews and Rhoda Pratt. Elery "Clem" and Lydia had two children. "Clem" and Opal had one child.

LeRoy "Roy" Elery, b. December 8, 1919, Onalaska, WA, m. January 31, 1948 to Mary Sue Keene in Kelso, WA. Roy served in the Air Force 1942- 1945. Lived around the world and in Oregon, Washington, Texas, South Pacific and Panama. Mary Sue Keene was b. November 6, 1921 in Seattle, WA. She is the daughter of Eugene Bowen Keene and A vis Lara Weed. They had one child. Randall Clement, b. January 4, 1950 in Longview, WA. m. 1) Valerie Crabtree June 8, 1968 in Beaverton, Oregon and m. 2) Chris EkbladMay 7, 1976. Randall has a son Jon and a daughter Heather.

Glenna Lucille, b. February 17, 1923 in Onalaska, WA. m. (1) Ed Dougherty on Apri116, 1940 in Chehalis, WA 2) Archie McLarty. Daughter Jackie m. Mudge, daughter Maxine, son Roy Doughtery.

Child of Clem and Opal:

Colleen Joan b. August 10, 1934 in Centralia, WA. m. Ray Younger. d. November 13, 1973 in Milwaukie, OR. No children.

2. Olive Margarite, b. August 1, 1900 in Littlerock, WA. m. July 31, 1920 to William Edward Theodore "Ted" Cowan. Olive d. December 5, 1971 in her home in Lakebay, Washington. Burial at Claquato Cemetery, Chehalis, Washington. They had three children.

Donald Stilson Cowan b. May 27, 1921 in Forest, WA, m. Thelma Blurton.

4. Robert Hunter Stilson, b. June 14, 1904, Littlerock, WA, m. Anna Eva Dorian on July 23, 1927 in Chehalis, WA. It was a double wedding also joining in marriage his sister Sybil with husband Pasher. Robert d. March 30, 1939 in Napavine, Lewis WA and is buried in the Napavine Cemetery. See Generation IX.

5. Mabel Alice Marvel, b. May 5, 1906 in Raymond, Pacific Co., Washington. She married September 10, 1924 to Jesse Bryan Gish, Jr. She d. December 18, 1985 in Tacoma Washington and is buried at Greenwood Cemetery in Centralia. Jesse was a logger. They had six children: Beatrice May Gish b. May 14, 1926, Jesse Bryan Gish, Jr. b. November 6, 1927, Charles Edward Gish, b. May 19, 1930, Arnold George Gish b. October 17; 1931, Twila Lucille Gish b. January 5, 1934 and Claudia Darlene Gish b. September 17, 1943.

6. Sybil Lucille, b. January 27, 1908 in Raymond, Pacific Co., Washington. She had a double wedding with brother Robert Hunter. Sybil married Pasher Charles Bishop on July 23, 1927. "Pash " was a logger and served in the army in WW I. His father was James Bishop, his mother Laura Ann Hudson. " Pash " d. July 31, 1979. Burial Centralia, WA.

Delmar Lowell Bishop b. September 6, 1935 in Tacoma, WA. He married 1) Dorothy Jean Henderson and had son Rick Bishop. He m. 2) Mary Beth Ramspeck and had son Gregory Bishop Miller and 3) Janice Forrest and had sons Anthony Bishop, Marlo Bishop and Christopher Bishop.

Beverly Jo Bishop b. October 28, 1939 in Centralia, WA. She married Ronald Larry Worrell June 22, 1963 at Centralia. They had children Vernon Scott Worrell b. May 4, 1965 and Randy Dean Worrell b. July 8, 1967; both at Centralia.

7. Everett Eugene Stilson, b. September 27, 1909, Raymond, WA. d. October 21, 1909. 8. Violet Stilson, b. May 15, 1911 in Rochester, Thurston Co., WA. Stillborn.

IX. LLOYD TRUESDELL STILLSON; b. May 24, 1908, the son of Charles William and Clara Louise Headdon. Lloyd attended Allegheny College. Graduated M.A. Ohio Wesleyan University in 1929. m. Dorothy May Kelley, b. May 16, 1911, on September 15, 1931. She attended Ohio Wesleyan University and Ohio State University .They had two daughters .

Lloyd Stilson died in Poland, Ohio on October 17; 1993. His obituary reads: Services will be held at 11 :30 a.m. Wednesday at Cunningham-Yelloushan Funeral Home (Poland) for Lloyd T. Stillson, 85, of 8564 Glenwood Ave., formerly of Diana Drive, who died of cancer early Sunday at Beeghly Oaks, Boardman. Mr. Stillson was born May 24, 1908 in Batavia, New York, a son of Charles and Clara Heddon Stillson and came to this area in 1911. He was a 1925 graduate of South High School and received a bachelor's degree in 1929 from Ohio Wesleyan University, where he was president of Delta Tau Delta fraternity .With his father he entered the insurance business in 1929 was president of Stillson and Donahey Insurance Agency until his retirement in 1973 and had been general agent of Midland Mutual Life Insurance Co. from 1940 to 1970. He was president of the Youngstown Association of Life Underwriters in 1944, president of the Poland PTA ion 1948, president of the Downtown Kiwanis Club in 1953, chairman of the Youngstown Goodwill Industries for five years and also had been a chairman of the United Negro College Fund Drive. A member, elder and trustee of Poland Presbyterian Church, Mr. Stillson was a 50-year master Mason of Youngstown Lodge 615 and a charter member of Poland Lodge 766. He was a member of AshIer Chapter 213 of the Royal Arch Masons St. John's Commandery 20 of Knights Templar, Ancient Accepted Scottish Rite Valley of Youngstown, and Al Koran Shrine of Cleveland. Besides his wife, the former Dorothy Kelley, whom he married September 15, 1931, he leaves two daughters, Mrs. Anne Peck of Poland and Mrs. Lynne HurdofRochester, Ny;. six grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. Two brothers, Dr. Dean and Charles are deceased.

1. Anne Headdon, b. January 17; 1933, attended Ohio Wesleyan University, Delaware Ohio. m. June 8, 1954 to Revel James Peck, b. November 28, 1932. Revel graduatedfrom Ohio Wesleyan in 1954. He served as Lieutenant in the Air Corp during World War II.

Carolyn Anne Peck, b. September 29, 1956. Graduated Phi Beta Kappa from Furman University in 1978. Masters degree Youngstown, Ohio State University. m. December 14, 1978 to VictorJ. Rubenstein b. November 21, 1944. Children: Eric MeyerRubenstein, b. November 21, 1979 and Mark Copeland Rubenstein, b. November 30, 1983.

Lloyd Charles Peck, b. June 15, 1962, graduatedfrom Grove City College, PA in 1984. m. June 15, 1985 to Vickie Aileen Cochran b. September 7; 1964. Vickie graduated from Grove City College in 1986. Children: David Wilson Peck b. February 21, 1989 and Elizabeth Anne Peck, b. September 5, 1990.

Nancy Rose Peck b, September 1, 1964. Attended West Virginia Wesleyan, graduated Catholic University, Washington, D.C. in 1986m. May 25, 1985 Michael Jay Mandl, b. March 12, 1963.
