in St. Lawrence county around 1823 and except for some
time in Minnesota with his second
wife, spent his entire life there
Cynthia
Washburn Downing (1853-1943). One of seven children of
Sylvester and Jane Washburn. Life-long resident of the
town of Macomb who stayed active in the community for the entire 90 years of her
life. Married to Alphonse LaMartine
Downing and mother of 9 children.
