Inventory of Gates Cemetery, Edwards NY

In October of 2007, I visited Gates Cemetery on River Road in Edwards. It is located on the right, just past the intersection with Jones Pond road heading towards the village of Edwards. I photographed and recorded the tombstones within the cemetery as well as I could. Below is the inventory I developed during that visit. When a picture is available, the name of the person will be 'clickable' to bring up the picture.

This cemetery is divided into two sections by a road that makes a small circle within the cemetery. The area within the circle in the cemetery is Section 1. The section to the left of the road when entering the cemetery and continuing around the outside of the cemetery to the middle of the back is Section 2. The section on the right side of the cemetery (on the outside of the circle) is Section 3. When entering the cemetery on the road, the NOTE: The only names recorded here are for people who had markers that I could find in the cemetery. It does not include any other people who might have been buried but for whom no marker could be found. All comments can be directed to Anne M. Cady
