Inventory of Pine Hill Cemetery, Morristown, NY

In June of 2003 I visited Pine Hill Cemetery in the town of Morristown. The cemetery is located in the village at the top of Montgomery Street. When driving on Main Street through the village, Montgomery Street is the first paved street to the North of Greenwood Cemetery (located on the east side of the Main Street). Montgomery Street will lead up a hill, across Gouverneur Street, and will then lead directly to both Pine Hill Cemetery and Sunny Side Cemetery (which is located adjacent to it).

This is a large cemetery so I broke it into five sections. In this listing, Section 1 refers to the far right hand side of the cemetery (when facing the gate), Section 2 refers to the right half of the middle section (between the line of trees and the road), Section 3 is the left half of the middle section (between the road on the other side and the line of trees), Section 4 is the far left side of the cemetery, and Section 5 is the area located in front of the main gates.

I photographed and recorded the tombstones within the cemetery. Below is the inventory I developed during that visit. When a picture is available, the name of the person will be 'clickable' to bring up the picture. NOTE: The only names recorded here are for people who had markers that I could find in the cemetery. It does not include any other people who might have been buried but for whom no marker could be found. All comments can be directed to Anne M. Cady
