Went to the ordination of Elder Gates in the afternoon. He was examined from one until after four. In the evening was the ordination sermon. Went with Ma & Mrs. Rumsey. We rode home with Willing.

Ma & I went over to Rumsey's in the afternoon. Mrs. Rumsey was here in the forenoon. Ma & I went down to Wright's in the evening.

Will came in here in the morning with Pa. Libbie R. came in a few minutes.

Went down to Wright's early in the morning. Pa & Ma went to Ithaca. John & Ella M. came here and made a call. Got ready and went to the lodge. Stopped into Wright's. W came home with me & stayed until 11:30.

Went to church and sit with W. Brewer's wife. J. Owens was here when I got home. Will came and stayed till 11:30. We took some yarrow tea.

Went over town in the forenoon. All of Rumsey's folks was over here in the evening. We made molasses candy and had a fine time.

Stayed at home all day and worked on my waist. Pa & Ma went up to Marshall's on business.

Will came in the morning to see about the party at Newfield. We went to the party with Hat & Bill B with Ed Curry for driver. Had a splendid time. Saw Peter Guier. Got home at 5. S. Thurston called in the afternoon.
