WILLIAM HENRY DANFORTH - was born 4 Jun 1819 in Fort Covington, Franklin Co., New York. He died on 03 Dec 1872 in Saratoga, Winona Co., Minnesota. He married Marianne Nichols (Morse) on 08 Jan 1843 in Concord, Essex, Vermont. Marianne was born 16 May 1824 in Concord and died on 20 Sep 1908 in Weyborn, Saskatchewan, Canada. She was the daughter of Nathan Morse and Polly (Fisher). 

William Henry DANFORTH was listed in the 1850 Essex Co, Vermont census as age 30 born in NY with wife Mary Ann of Vermont, son Albro age 3, and mother-in-law Polly Morse age 67 born in New Hampshire.

He purchased eighty acres E1/2NW1/4 of Section 20, Twp. 23, Range N9 in Portage Co., Wisconsin; and eighty acres SE1/4SE1/4 of Section 8 Twp. 21, Range N6 also in Portage County, Wisconsin.

Notes for Albro Benvard DANFORTH:  Listed in the 1850 Essex Co, Vermont with his parents as age 3 born in Vermont; Albro's family is enumerated in the 1880 Saratoga, Winona Co., MN census, the family including wife Eunice and daughters Clara, Elizabeth and Lillian.

Albro patented land in Barnes County, North Dakota on November 3, 1890 - Meridian 5 Twp; 142 N 057 W, Section 24 - 160 acres homesteaded docket #5399. 

He went to Taber, Alberta to buy land in 1907 (east half section of 2-9-15) where the house and barn were built in 1907. His sons George and Harry took up homesteads in 1907 and in 1911 or 1912 his sons Everett and Robert homesteaded near the Montana border. - Albro died at the farm in 1917. 

Eunice Matilda SHORT was listed in the 1860 Census of Macoupin County, IL with her family, Martin Short, head of household.

ADDISON ANDREW DANFORTH (William Henry) - was born 9 Jul 1855 in Wisconsin; died 21 Nov 1925. He appears to have met Jennie (Birge) while in Saratoga as they were both enumerated in the 1880 census residing in the Dyer household. That same December, Addison married Jennie, and her sister Hattie married Philip S. Dey. The young women were the daughters of Augustus and Mariah (Pitcher), and in 1900 and 1910 their Aunt Sarah Birge was residing in Hattie and Philip's residence in Barnes Co., North Dakota.

  3. Ward Augustus Danforth - born 20 Jan 1885 in Baldwin Twp., Barnes Co., ND; married Martha Mabel Landis who was born on 18 Nov 1882. They were the parents of Naomi who was born on Dec 1913 and recently passed away in September 2000. Ward and Martha also adopted son Robert Taylor at the age of fourteen months after his birth mother passed away. He is the father of Marilyn and Martha Danforth. Ward passed away in Los Angeles, CA on 10 Jan 1945 and his wife Martha (Landis) passed away in Banning, San Bernardino Co., CA on 11 Sep 1962.
  4. Frank Danforth - born 8 August 1886 in Baldwin Twp., Barnes Co., ND; died in Pine River, Cass, MN on 7 Dec 1911.

LULA A. DANFORTH (William Henry) - born 19 Oct 1857 in Wisconsin; died 1922. She married on 12 Dec 1875 Stephen E. POWERS and were the parents of Charles POWERS who was born 11 Apr 1877 in Istaco, Wisconsin and died in June of 1957. Charlie had married Hattie (MOORHEAD). 
 
FRANK H. DANFORTH (William Henry) - born 05 Nov 1859 in Wisconsin; he died 06 Nov 1941 in Star City, Saskatchewan, Canada. He married on 19 Jan 1887 Elizabeth B. (FERGUSON) who died in Weyborn, Saskatchewan, Canada.   They had one daughter Hazel who married Aubrey Smith.

WILLIAM A. DANFORTH (William Henry) - born 12 Aug 1864 in Wisconsin. He married on 27 Nov 1890 Clarina V. (FERGUSON) born 1871 in Minnesota.  Willie A. patented land in Barnes county, North Dakota on May 31, 1889 - Meridian 5 Twp 143 N 057 W; Section 34; 160 acres docket #9044.

He remained in North Dakota near Oriska and was enumerated in the 1910 Barnes Co., ND census as age 45 born in Wisconsin, father born in New York, mother born in Vermont. Also listed in his household is wife Clara and adopted daughter Ada. Listed again in the 1920 Barnes Co., ND census as age 55 with wife and daughter. 

Notes for Clarina V. FERGUSON: Listed in the 1910 Barnes Co., ND with her husband Willie A. Danforth and adopted daughter Ada. She is listed as age 40, having been married 19 years, her father born in Scotland and mother born in Massachusetts. Listed as age 49 in the 1920 Barnes Co., ND with husband Willie and daughter Ada age 11.

CLARA ANORA DANFORTH (Albro Benvard, William Henry) - born 26 Feb 1876 in St. Charles, Winona Co., Minnesota. She passed away on the 8th of December 1959 in Phoenix, Maricopa Co., Arizona and was laid to rest at Resthaven Park Cemetery in Glendale, Maricopa Co., Arizona.

Clara married Wiliam Francis NEAGLE on 28 Nov 1904 in Valley City, Barnes Co, North Dakota. William was born 23 Nov 1870 in Chatsworth, Illinois and died 30 Oct 1925 in Luverne, Barnes Co., ND. He was the son of John and Ellen (CROTY). 

Clara was listed with her husband William Neagle in the 1910 Barnes Co., ND census as age 34, born in Minnesota and both her parents having been born in Minnesota; and listed in the 1920 Barnes Co., ND with her husband and children William, Helen, Ruth, Constance and Mildred.

"Connie" married (1) Vernon William Davidson on 31 May 1934 in Valley City, North Dakota D. V.W. "Dave" was born in Luverne on born 18 Dec 1910 and passed away on 20 Jan 1969 in Phoenix, Maricopa, Arizona. He is laid to rest at Resthaven Park Cemetery in Glendale, Maricopa, Arizona. Vernon was the son of Robert and Pearl Edna (Johnson).

Connie married (2) Walter Lightfoot on 03 Jun 1960 in Cortez, Colorado. He was born 16 Aug 1900 in Richmond, New Mexico and passed away on 11 October 1990. He is laid to rest beside his first wife Mina (Lewis) who passed away in 1959.

MILDRED IRENE NEAGLE (Clara Anora Danforth, Albro Benvard, William Henry), born 26 Oct 1917 in Luverne, Barnes, North Dakota and passed away in 1992. She married (1) Leo H. Thomsen on 08 Jan 1936 in Valley City, Barnes, ND. Leo was born 22 Dec 1909 and died 1966.

Mildred married (2) Russ Parcher and were the parents of Myron, Carol Ann (1938-1991), and Candace Thomsen who married Charles Jackson.

Notes for Guy Robert Danforth:  Was delivered into this world by his own father who could not leave to bring the midwife because the creek was too high. Guy became a welder and lived in Elkford, B.C. - He is the father of five sons (David, Jay, Dan, Greg, Jamie) one daughter (Kathleen) and seven grandchildren.

He married June (Denning) and they are the parents of Janet Lee who married Francis McHugh; Roberta who is a graduate of Alberta College of Art and taught school in Newfoundland; Marilyn who married Eric Roth; and Jaqueline Danforth. 
 
EARL EUGENE "BARNEY" DANFORTH (Robert Carlisle, Albro Benvard, William Henry), born 26 Feb 1926 in Lethbridge, Alberta, Canada. He married Sheliah (Morris). Earl was a welder who moved to Rhodesia in 1970, and has three children - Ken, Mark, and daughter Lorae.
