| John
Jerome was born on 21 Sep 1771 in
Connecticut. He married Margaretha Stickle,
daughter of Frederick Stickle and Elizabeth.
Margaretha was born 12 Jan 1777 in New York and
died on 24 Aug 1862 in Durham, Greene, NY. John moved to Delaware Co.
NY sometime between 1795 and 1799 where he
remained until about 1816-1817 when he moved to
Cornwallville, Greene Co., New York. It was here
that he became acquainted with the Peters family
and in 1850 he was enumerated in the
census residing in Durham.
John died on 19
Jan 1855. His will was probated on 15 Sep 1856
listing his heirs: daughters, Clarissa H.,
Elizabeth, Sally, Rebecca, Margaret, Amanda and
Nancy; sons, Andrew and Chauncey. Executors:
sons, Andrew and Chauncey Witnesses: Ellsworth
Strong and William Earl.

| Elizabeth Jerome (John) was born on 12 Apr
1795 in Gallatin, Columbia, NY. She married
Daniel Peters, son of Richard Peters and Susannah
(Halstead) on 03 Dec 1812. Daniel was born on 02
Dec 1793 in Clifton Park, Saratoga, New York and
died 04 Jan 1838 in Harpersfield, Delaware, NY. Elizabeth was counted in a
census in 1850 in Harpersfield, Delaware,
New York living with her daughter Margaret and
son-in-law Luther Minshell - as were her younger
children Louisa, Fernanda, and Elizabeth. In 1860 she was living her
daughter Louisa in the household of Eben and
Theodora VanAmburg in Harprsfield. Elizabeth died
prior to the 1870 census, passing on 27 Apr 1869
in Harpersfield, Delaware Co., New York.

| Sally Jerome (John) was born on 20 Feb
1797 in New York. She married Russell Goff on 12
Dec 1819. Russell was born about 1799 in New York
and died 22 Oct 1874 in Durham, Greene, New York.
His household in the 1850 census of Durham, Greene,
New York included Hannah, age 78, who was
probably his mother. In 1860 the name was spelled Gough
and the household included Russell, Sally,
Stillman who was listed as a pedlar and possibly
his wife Harriet age 27 and young children Nelson
W age 3 and daughter Mary E., age one, as well as
36 year-old Mary J. Goff and 11 year-old
Charlotte Goff.
Sally died 16 Mar
1870 in Durham, Greene, New York. She and Russell
were laid to rest at the Cornwallville Cemetery.

daughter, Eliza J. are living near his sister
Margaret, wife of William f. Gould who was a M.E.
clergyman. In
1860, Andrew is living alone
and is listed as a harness maker living in
Durham. Andrew died in Cornwallville, New York.
He and Mary were both laid to rest in
Cornwallville Cemetery, Greene County, New York.

Carrie Jerome (apparently her sister), and Maggie
Morris.

and died on 05 mar 1900 at the age of 88. Nancy
died on 22 Feb 1906 in East Durham, New York and
they were both buried in the Cornwallville
Cemetery. They were the parents of the following
children: Edgar, Marvin, Caroline, Georgiana,
Ida, and Clayton Wagner. The family was enumerated in 1860 residing in East Durham.
The household included Darius, Nancy, Georigana
age 15, Luman age 14, Marvin age 11, Caroline age
9 and Ida age three. Also residing in their
household was Sarah J. Parks of Ireland, their
domestic help and Watson Olmstead who was a farm

1836 in Broome, Schohaire, New York. His paternal
ancestors were natives of Scotland; his maternal,
of Connecticut. He was a great soldier in the
Civil War, serving with the 5th New York
Artillery. He was possessed of inflexible
patriotism and courage, and was entrusted with
many difficult and dangerous expeditions. They were enumerated in the
1850 and 1880 census residing in Durham,
Greene, Co., New York. Calvin died in Durham on
25 Oct 1904, Mary on 28 Jun 1926.
