- Landes/ Witmer/ Buckwalter:
- A lady in PA, Polly, has been researching the Lancaster Historical
Soceity and the Mennonite Historical Soceity and she is rather positive
about the following:
- A Jacob LANDES m Anna WITMER in Europe and they had a son, Christian, b1701. The family moved to PA in 1717.
The son, Christian, had a son, Christian, in 1728. This Christian, b
1728, is the Christian who died in 1782, York Co PA.
Supposedly.
- What happened to the Christian b 1701 ?
- What happened to the Christian who came to PA in 1736 on the Harle ?
- Who was the Christian who supposedly went to Greenbriar VA in the 1740's?
- Christian, 1701, m Maria BUCKWALTER. His bros,Samuel, b 1724, Henry, b 1726, & John, 1727. May have been more. Christian, 1701, and Maria moved to Montgomery Co and back to Windsor several times.
