David Harmon Keister Will of 1926

Will of D. H. Keister.  Blacksburg, Virginia.

Thanking God for his goodness & tender care of us all along lifes pathway and for Jesus our Savior.  This being my last will and testament, I hereby bequeath and give to my beloved wife, Annie M. Keister all that I should own or posess after paying all just debts, with the following request, of my insurance money I want you to place in Bank One Thousand dollars (or interest) as a reserve for you, don't know how soon you may need some quick money, and as fast as you should accumulate as much as one hundred dollars that you don't need, do the same with it.

I would suggest that you do not try to pay the Bank notes in full if I do not live long enough to reduce them, there is plenty lots to pay off the debt and have quite a little sum left.  The 7 acres I give to you also, which will naturally go on to Ethel and the children if not needed by you.

I hereby appoint you as Administratrix without bond, with our son Jno. T. Watson & R. V. Waltin as your advisors, With love to my dear wife, Annie, Ethel, Jno. & children, may God Bless and keep you, is my prayer.
