Jacob Shufflebarger Will of 1800

 

Jacob Shufflebarger.  His last Will. 

In Name of god Amen.  I Jacob Shovelbarger of the State of Virginia and County of Montgomery being in perfect mind and memmory and calling to mind the mortallity of my Body do make and ordain this my last will and testament and as touching the worly goods which it is pleas God to Bestow on me, after paying all that I in Justice owe I dispose of in manner and form following.  Impreneir? I Give and bequeth to my beloved wife Margret Shovebarger my whole Estate real and personal during her widowhood, I give and bequeth to Elias Shovelbarger all my land on Sinking Spring.  I give and beqeth to John Shovelbarger all my land on Little Walkers Creek.  I give and bequeth to Catharine hornbarger five pounds.  I give and bequeth to Elizabeth Smlth five pounds.  I give and Bequeth to Catherine Pazor ten pounds.  Revoking and Disanulling all wills by me here to fore made and this only to remain my last Will and testament , In witness here of I here unto Set my hand and Seal this nineteenth day of February one Eight hundred.

At Montgomery August Court 1801

This Last will and testament of Jacob Shufflebarger deceased was Exhibited in Court and proved by the oath of Henry Wysor a witness thereto whereupon Margaret Shufflebarger came unto Court and renounced her right to the administration with the will annexed and the said will is Continued  for further proof.  And at February Court 1802 the same was further proved by the oath of William Bruce another witness thereto and thereupon ordered to be recorded.

At Montgomery March Court 1802

On the motion of John Shufflebarger and Elias Shufflebarger who made oath and entered into and acknowledged Bond with Security according to Law, Administration of the Estate of Jacob Shufflebarger deceased with the will annexed is granted them.
