45.  Benjamin Franklin WYSOR (4880); born November 24, 1813 in Montgomery Co., VA;[1] married Harriet Jane Jordan (4881) circa 1846;[2] died of "gun shot" May 26, 1864 in Pulaski Co., VA, at age 50.[3]

 

     Harriet Jane JORDAN (4881) was born on September 29, 1823 in VA.[4]

     Children of Benjamin Franklin Wysor (4880) and Harriet Jane Jordan (4881) were:

         96.        i.    Hugh S. Legare (4889); born August 30, 1847 in Newbern, Pulaski Co., VA;[5],[6] married Mary A. Eads (4890) circa 1872;[7] died April 15, 1938 in age 90, and was buried in the Newbern Cemetery in Pulaski Co., VA.[8]

     He began military service in October, 1864 in Newbern, Pulaski Co., VA.  A Civil War veteran, Hugh Wysor enlisted in the 54th VA INF, Co. F.  His service record follows.

        HUGH L. WYSOR (Grandson of Henry Wysor, Jr.-Nephew of Mary Wysor)

Co. F. Enlisted 10/64 at Newbern, Pulaski Co. Born on 8/30/47 and died on 4/15/1938, he was buried in the Newbern Cemetery in Pulaski Co. He was next to last survivor of the 54th. Age 3 on 1850 Montgomery Co. Census and age 13 on the 1860 Pulaski Co. Census so he was 17 when he enlisted.[9]

 

46.  George Washington WYSOR (4882); born July 12, 1817 in Montgomery Co., VA;[10] married Margaret Ann Miller (4883) circa 1844.[11]

 

     Margaret Ann MILLER (4883) was born on December 17, 1825.

     Children of George Washington Wysor (4882) and Margaret Ann Miller (4883) all born in Pulaski Co., VA, were as follows:

         97.        i.    James Miller (4891); born August 17, 1845;[12] married Laura A. Ware (4892) circa 1870.[13]

     He began military service on August 8, 1863 at Belle's Bridge, TN.  A Civil War veteran, James Wysor enlisted in the 54th VA INF, Co. F.  His service record follows.

        JAMES M. WYSOR (Grandson of Henry Wysor, Jr.-Nephew of Mary Wysor)

     Co. F. Enlisted 8/8/63 at Belle's Bridge, TN. Sick in Bell Hospital on 10/25/63. Then present all musters until taken POW on 3/19/65 at Bentonville, NC and sent to Point Lookout, MD where he was  held until 6/3/65. Resident of Pulaski Co. Age 5, 1850 Montgomery Co. Census and age 14 on the 1860 Pulaski Co. Census so he also enlisted at age 17.[14]

        He ended military service on June 3, 1865 at Point Lookout POW Camp, MD.[15]

         98.        ii.    Henry Charlton (4893); born October 21, 1847;[16] married Mary E. Shipp (4894) circa 1872;[17] died August 7, 1927 at age 79, and was buried in the New Dublin Cemetery, Dublin, Pulaski Co., VA.[18]

     He began military service in October, 1864.  A Civil War veteran, Henry Wysor enlisted in the 54th VA INF, Co. F.  His service record follows.

        HENRY WYSOR (Grandson of Henry Wysor, Jr.-Nephew of Mary Wysor)

Co. F. Enlisted  in 10/64 per PWR, the only record. Resident of Dublin, Pulaski Co. Previously served in the 45th VA INF and fought at Cloyd's Mt. Born on 10/21/47 and died on 8/7/1927. Buried in the New Dublin Cemetery in Dublin, Pulaski Co. Member of Pulaski Camp No.88, Confederate Veterans and active in recording history of the camp. Frequent correspondent with the "Confederate Veteran". Brother of James M. Wysor and youngest known member of the 54th.

Age 12 on the 1860 Pulaski Co. Census.[19]

         99.      iii.    George Washington (4895); born December 26, 1849;[20] married Mary Martha Price Templeton (4896) circa 1874.[21]

     He began military service on April 20, 1864 at Newbern, Pulaski Co., VA.  A Civil War veteran, George Wysor enlisted in the 4th VA INF Reserves, Co. C.
