14.  Alexander3 HOWELL (David2, Joshua1); born 1811 in Floyd Co., VA;[1] married Timandra Dobyns, daughter of John Dobyns, May 13, 1831 in Floyd Co., VA.[2]

     He was a carpenter in 1850 in Floyd Co., VA.[3]

 

     Timandra DOBYNS was born in 1813 in Floyd Co., VA. [4]

     Children of Alexander3 Howell and Timandra Dobyns were as follows:

+          25.          i.     Eliza Melvina4, born 1833; married Caleb Howell.

            26.          ii.     Elizabeth; born 1837 in Floyd Co., VA; married Isaac Carter.[5]

            27.        iii.     Minerva; born 1838 in Floyd Co., VA.[6]

+          28.         iv.     Col. Peradine Tillman, born May 18, 1839 in Floyd Co., VA; married Adaline Carter.

            29.         v.     Mazarine Charman; born 1842;[7] died July 26, 1862 in Chesapeake General Hospital, Chesapeake Co., VA after being wounded and captured at Williamsburg during the Civil War.[8]

     Mazarine never married.[9] A Civil War soldier, he began military service on August 31, 1861 in Mason's Hill, VA, when he enlisted in the 24th VA INF, Co. A.[10]

+          30.         vi.     Burdine Tolliver, born 1844 in Floyd Co., VA; married Mary Jane Lawrence.

            31.       vii.     George Palestine; born 1851 in VA;[11] died 1862.[12]

+          32.       viii.     Virgil Augustus, born 1855 in VA; married Sarah Lawrence; married Nora Fanatia.

 

 

15.  Beauford3 HOWELL (David2, Joshua1); born 1815 in Floyd Co., VA;[13] married Susannah Sink February 18, 1839 in Floyd Co., VA.[14]

     He was woolcarding in 1850 in Floyd Co., VA.[15]

 

     Susannah SINK was born in 1818 in Augusta Co., VA.[16]

     Children of Beauford3 Howell and Susannah Sink were as follows:
